To keep the cost of ice fees down for your child/children, every year, the club raises money through various activities (bingo, selling of raffle tickets, silent auction etc.).

Each year,  family's are required to do $500 worth of fundraising to help decrease the high cost of ice fees.

Here are some of the ways the club can help you to finance your child's skating:

Casino- The club relies heavily on the Casino to help keep the cost of the ice fees down. This year the club will be working the Yellowhead Casino on May 25 and 26, 2010. If you volunteer to work the Casino, you will receive a credit towards your summer or fall 2010 skating season. More information TBA

Skate-A-Thon- Friday March 12th, 2010  /   Time:  6:45:7-45. For more information click here. To see an example of a poster to publicize your child in the Skate-A-Thon, click here. For additional pledge sheets click here.

Rexall Events - To be able to work Rexall events (hockey games, concerts, rodeo, etc), each worker must be over the age of 15 and go through orientation at Rexall Place ($30 credit will be given for the orientation).

The majority of the events are 4 to 5 hours long and you will receive a $60 credit ($40 for less than 4 hrs.) which can go to your fundraising or paying down your skating fees. The job is usually running the cash register at the concession stand or helping with food preparation. You must give at least 3 days notice if you sign up for a spot and find that you are unable to work it. If you sign up for a spot and do not show up, the club will receive a fine which your account will be charged.

To be able to work Rexall, you will have to pass the ProServe certification (cost $25) course which you can take online (http://proserve.aglc.ca) if you are 18 or older. The ProServe certificate is valid for 5 years after passing the test. You will also have to attend an orientation and the 'Cashier Technical Training' at Rexall Place.
