Learn to Skate Program:  For ages 4 years old and older. Basic balancing and skating skills are learned before (and during) participation in other ice sports such as figure skating, hockey, speed skating or ringette.
  • First Steps: Designed for children with limited or no skating experience.
  • Second Steps: Beginner through advanced group skating lessons. This program consists of four different levels.
Learn to Figure Skate Programs:  Require coach approval.
  • Junior Development: For ages 4 – 8. Introduction to figure skating through group lessons. Recommended participation is 2-3 days per week.
  • Preliminary Group: For ages 9+. Recreational figure skating through group lessons. Recommended participation is 1-2 days per week.
Advanced Figure Skating:  Require coach approval. This program is for skaters intending to take tests and/or compete. Skaters must book private lessons with an Extreme Edge Skating Club coach.
  • Junior Program: No freeskate test. Recommended days per week: 2-4.
  • Intermediate Program: Passed the Preliminary freeskate test. Recommended days per week: 3-5.
  • Senior Program: Passed Sr. Bronze or Juvenile Competitive test. Recommended days per week: 4-6.
Special Needs Program:  For children with special needs. Includes, but not limited to children with autism or down syndrome. Each skater requires a personal aide with proficient skating skills.

Private Power Skating Lessons:  Intended for peewee and higher level hockey players (including midget and Junior).

Off-ice Classes:  These classes are mandatory for advanced figure skaters. Figure skaters must have high levels of fitness and strength.
