Covid-19 Safety Procedures and Protocols: 

We are proud to offer a healthy, safe, and creative environment for our skaters to learn new skills, improve acquired skills, and have fun!

Our Safe Skate Video

  • Coaches will wear masks while conducting classes.
  • All participants and their parent/guardian are required to wear masks in the facility. Skaters may remove masks during the class.
  • Practice physical distancing.
  • Spectators may not be permitted to stay and watch. Please only 1 parent per skater in the facility.
  • If possible, put on equipment prior to entering arena. Skate guards required to protect blades.

 

Group Skating Programs 2021

Canskate - Summer 2021

 Registration opening June 15! Classes begin July 5, 2021.

  • For children 4 years of age & older.
  • Due to physical distancing requirements, skaters must have previous skating experience and be able to fall down and stand up without assistance.
  • Beginner to Advanced Skaters.
  • Small Class Sizes.

$44.00 Annual Skate Canada Membership required (Sept 2020-Aug 2021)

Summer Classes Offered at 3 Locations:

  • Grand Trunk Arena 13025-112 St NW Edmonton
  • Clareview Arena 3804-139 Avenue NW Edmonton
  • Londonderry Arena 14528-66 Street NW Edmonton

Register Online:

Registration is ongoing until classes have filled. Pro-rated fees available if joining mid session. Click "Registration" tab at top of this page and create a family account. Add skaters as participants, then select your class. 


Group Programs - On Pause 

The following programs are currently on pause for 2021 due to Covid-19 safety restrictions. New class information will be posted once it becomes available.

Pre-Canskate:

  • 4 yrs of age and older
  • First-Time skaters & beginners
  • Small group sizes

Parent & Tot:

  • 3 yrs of age and older
  • First-Time skaters & beginners
  • Parents are welcome to skate with their child and assist them in becoming independent skaters.

Adult:

  • Intended for adults that wish to experience skating and those who would like to improve existing skills in a fun, judgement free environment.
  • Beginner to experienced skaters welcome. Lessons tailored to improving your current skill level.

Adaptive Skating:

  • Aides with proficient skating skills required for each skater.
  • Intended for, but not limited to, skaters on the Autism Spectrum.
  • Group lessons will be adapted as needed according to each participant's goals.
